Function of the Computer - ( कंप्यूटर के कार्य)

There are three functions of the Computer: -

·     Input

·     Processing

·     Output

Input: - Input function is used to receive the data inside the computer system. The devices which are used for input purposes are called the input device. Such as: - Key board, Mouse, Barcode Reader etc.

Processing: - The analysing the data after input computer needs to read it and react upon it, is called the data processing.

Output: - After the data processing what result we get that is called the output.

Features of the Computer

The following are the main features of the computer-

·     Accuracy – A computer gives you 100% accurate result in anything until the users commit mistakes or its hardware gets affected.

·     Diligence – Its great feature is that a computer never be tired of work. It works continuously without any  .

·     High Storage Capacity: - In our computer we can store large amount of data. To understand, it we have to be acquainted with its   storage capacity because of following facts given below: -

1 Byte = 8 Bits or 1 Character

1 Kilo Byte (KB) = 1024 Bytes

1 Mega Byte (MB) = 1024 Kilo Bytes

1 Giga Byte         = 1024 Mega Bytes

1 Tera Byte         = 1024 Giga Bytes

·     Automation – Some of the works on computer automatically are solved or it works on automatic principles.

 

 

Hardware Introduction

 Hardware – The physical parts of computer are known as the hardware of the computer.

To understand the part of computer hardware, we have to evaluate its units. The following are the basic units of computer –

o Control Unit

o Memory Unit

o ALU – Arithmetic and Logical Unit
